Buffering

Buffering is one of these annoying things which we'd all like to rid, here is some tips:
 

  1. If using WIFI, please swap to Ethernet or Power Adapters. 

  2. If you can't change from WIFI, please go into your router settings and try selecting a less noisy WIFI channel. (Apps for finding the less noisy channel are available on all app stores). 

  3. Do a speed test from the device (if possible), a good tester is available at: www.speedtest.net

  4. Reboot your router, as simple as this seems it can sometimes cure buffering issues. 

  5. Try m3u8 instead of .ts (Check in applications for this in settings, our android app has this feature). 

  6. Try modifying the buffer settings, for STB Emu please check our here

  7. Test on another device, such as PC using VLC, and confirm if you are still suffering the same issues.

 


Please note that good broadband speeds are required for a smooth connection, if others are using the internet at the same time, this can reduce your connection speeds, this is felt more on lower speeds, our recommend speed for highly quality service is 15+ Mbps at all times.

Changing the Stream Format in our Andriod App may help with buffering for some customers

1.  Go to Smartcast IPTV App
2.  Go to Settings
3.  Go to Stream Format
4.  Change to HLS (.m3u8)
